Arrivée au magasin d’une Vincent HRD 1000 série B de 1949, l’un des derniers bijoux de Howard R. Davies.
Une machine aujourd’hui dans un très bon jus, le dernier propriétaire aura profité de la magie de ce gros twin pendant 25 ans.

Le modèle 1949 est la toute dernière HRD de la série.
C’est une année charnière, la fourche Brampton, si précise fut-elle, est abandonnée pour la Girdraulique de Philippe Vincent, permettant un réglage de chasse.
C’est une année plus tard que la HRD série B est débaptisée, et que “Vincent” seul s’affiche sur le réservoir.
Le célèbre “Mercury Crest” efface lui aussi les fameuses initiales, tout cela faisant suite à une confusion possible avec Harley Davidson aux US.
Vers la fin 49 début 50, on peut largement considérer que la série C apparaît.

La HRD 1949 est un modèle aujourd’hui particulièrement rare, et nous sommes heureux de pouvoir la compter parmi nos dernières 1000 Vincent, série B, C et D.

The 1949 model is the last but not least from HRD.
This is a pivotal year; the Brampton fork, so precise was it, is abandoned for Philippe Vincent’s Girdraulic, which allows to set the steering angle.
It is a year later that the HRD B series is debaptised, and only “Vincent” is displayed on the tank.
The famous “Mercury Crest” also erases the famous initials, all following a possible confusion with Harley Davidson in the US.
Toward the end of 49 and the beginning of 50, one can widely consider that the C series appears.

The HRD 1949 is a particularly rare model today, and we are happy to be able to count it among our last 1000 Vincent, B, C and D series.
